Merwood Capital Limited merwoodcapitallimited.com scam Red FLAG: We have learned that this brand has close ties to other fraudulent companies like: Lismor Capital; Penn Park Capital Management; Vossen Capital Management. Merwood Capital Limited connects private investors with exclusive institutional-grade opportunities. As a deal facilitator, we provide access to Pre-IPO allocations, private equity, and more — while your capital always remains under your control.

Merwood Capital Limited was established in 2006 with a singular vision: to bridge the gap between private investors and institutional-grade investment opportunities. The company recognised that individual investors deserved access to the same opportunities typically reserved for large institutions.

Over the course of its operation, Merwood Capital Limited has served more than 10,000 clients across the UK and facilitated over £5 billion in annual deal flow. Unlike traditional wealth managers, the company does not take custody of client capital. Client funds remain in a designated account held in the client’s own name, ring-fenced and under the client’s ownership at all times.

Merwood Capital Limited maintains a clean regulatory record, with no FCA warnings, complaints, or regulatory flags reported over its period of operation. This track record reflects the company’s stated commitment to transparency, integrity, and putting its clients first.

Merwood Capital believes financial services should be built on trust, not complexity. The company has therefore designed a model in which clients’ capital never leaves their control. Merwood Capital facilitates the deals, while clients maintain ownership of their funds. It is a straightforward approach designed to provide clarity and control.

I invested a considerable amount of money after being convinced that I was dealing with a legitimate investment operation. The real problem became apparent when I attempted to withdraw my funds. I was asked to pay a commission before the withdrawal could be completed. After making that payment, I was asked for another amount for another supposed fee. I eventually stopped making payments and began conducting a much deeper investigation. The information I found subsequently raised serious concerns about the operation, its corporate identity and the information presented to investors. I am not asking anyone to simply believe my conclusions. I strongly encourage potential investors to conduct their own independent verification. I have also decided to report the matter, together with the information and evidence I have collected, to the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for assessment. If you are considering investing through this operation, please investigate everything before sending money. And if you have already invested and are now being asked to pay additional fees to withdraw your funds, please think very carefully before sending anything further. I learned this lesson the hard way. I hope someone else does not have to.

I am leaving this review because I do not want another person to lose a substantial amount of money as I did. My experience with Merwood Capital Limited followed a pattern that I now consider extremely concerning. I deposited money believing that I was making an investment. Later, when I wanted to withdraw my funds, I was told that an additional commission had to be paid.

    I paid it.

Then I was asked for more money.
That second request changed everything for me. Instead of continuing to pay, I began investigating the company and the information behind the website.
If you are currently in a similar situation, my advice is do not automatically pay another fee simply because someone tells you that it is the final requirement before your withdrawal is released.
Stop. Save all conversations, emails, payment records and documents. Verify the company independently and contact the relevant financial authorities.
I am reporting my experience and the evidence I have collected to the UK FCA.
I sincerely hope this review reaches potential investors before they send their money.

What concerns me most about my experience with Merwood Capital Limited is how easy it was initially to believe that everything was normal. The communication was convincing, and I was persuaded to commit a substantial amount of money. The warning signs became obvious only later. When I attempted to withdraw my funds, I was told that I needed to make an additional payment. After I paid the first requested amount, another payment was requested. At that point I realized that the situation was no longer consistent with what I had originally been led to believe.
I stopped sending money and started researching the operation independently. My advice to anyone who is currently considering an investment is simple: do not wait until you try to withdraw your money before investigating the company.
    Investigate first.
I am now documenting my experience and reporting the matter to the FCA. I believe the relevant authorities should have the opportunity to examine the information and determine whether further action is appropriate. I hope other investors see this warning before they find themselves in the same position.

One of the biggest lessons from my experience with Merwood Capital Limited (merwoodcapitallimited.com) is that a professional-looking investment website is not enough. I invested a significant amount of money because I believed I was dealing with a genuine investment business. Only after encountering problems with my withdrawal did I start examining the company information much more deeply. What I subsequently found raised serious concerns for me about the corporate identity and information presented to potential investors. There are legitimate companies with similar corporate information, so I believe it is extremely important to establish exactly which legal entity operates the website you are dealing with, rather than simply accepting a company name, registration number or address displayed on a website.
My experience has convinced me that investors should independently verify:
    • the exact legal entity behind the website
    • regulatory authorisation
    • company registration details
    • the identity of the people contacting them
    • the destination of their payments
    • and whether the contact details actually belong to the legitimate company

I am reporting my experience and the information I have collected to the FCA for assessment. I sincerely hope this warning helps someone investigate before making the same mistake I did.

My experience with Merwood Capital Limited has been extremely disappointing and financially damaging.
The investment process initially appeared legitimate, and I was comfortable enough to deposit a substantial amount of money. The situation changed completely when I requested a withdrawal.
Instead of receiving my funds, I was told that I first needed to pay a commission. I made that payment, believing that it was simply an administrative requirement.
Afterwards, however, another payment was requested for another supposed charge.
This was the moment when I stopped and began investigating the situation much more carefully.
In my experience, the biggest warning sign was not the initial investment process – it was what happened when I tried to get my own money back.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to perform extensive independent checks before transferring any money.
I have also decided to report my experience and the information I have gathered to the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) so that the appropriate authorities can assess the situation.
Please be extremely careful if you are currently being asked to pay additional money before your investment can supposedly be released.
