Last Updated: 01.19.2025

Welcome to Finauthority.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Finauthority website, including all company profiles, reviews, ratings, regulatory information, research, articles, user accounts, submission tools, communications and other services made available through Finauthority.org (collectively, the “Platform”).

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform.

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, submitting content, claiming a company profile or otherwise using Finauthority, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

1. About Finauthority

Finauthority is an independent financial company directory, research and review platform. Our purpose is to help users research and better understand financial companies and brands operating around the world, including, where applicable, brokers, trading platforms, crypto exchanges, payment providers, investment companies, financial technology businesses and other financial service providers. Finauthority may collect, organize, analyze and present information concerning, among other things:
  • company identity and legal entities;
  • ownership and business information;
  • websites and domains;
  • products and services;
  • jurisdictions;
  • licenses and registrations;
  • financial regulators and supervisory authorities;
  • regulatory status;
  • official warnings and enforcement notices;
  • publicly available corporate information;
  • user reviews and experiences;
  • responses provided by companies;
  • supporting evidence submitted by users or businesses;
  • editorial research, ratings and risk indicators.
Finauthority is intended to provide structured information and independent research. It does not replace official regulatory registers, professional advice or users’ own due diligence.

2. Platform Operator

The Platform is operated by:
  • Legal entity: FinAuthority
  • Registered office: Národní 135/14 Prague, Hlavní mesto Praha 110 00
  • Country of registration: Czech Republic
  • General contact: kancelar@finauthority.org
  • Legal contact: legal@finauthority.org
  • Phone: +420 778 011 974
  • Telegram: @finauthority
References in these Terms to “Finauthority”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the entity identified above. Although Finauthority is operated from the Czech Republic and European Union, the Platform is international in scope and may contain information concerning companies, regulators and users located anywhere in the world.

3. Eligibility

You may use the Platform only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you. Account registration and company profile management are intended for persons aged 18 or older. By creating an account, claiming a company profile or submitting information on behalf of an organization, you represent that:
  1. the information you provide is accurate;
  2. you have the legal capacity to use the Platform;
  3. where acting for a company or organization, you are authorized to act on its behalf; and
  4. your use of Finauthority does not violate applicable law.
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority or eligibility.

4. Nature of the Finauthority Service

Finauthority provides information, research, reviews and tools intended to assist users in conducting their own research. Finauthority is not:
  • a financial regulator;
  • a supervisory authority;
  • a bank;
  • a broker;
  • an investment firm;
  • an exchange;
  • a payment institution;
  • a credit institution;
  • an investment adviser;
  • a financial adviser;
  • a legal or tax adviser;
  • a recovery service;
  • a compensation scheme; or
  • an authority capable of granting, suspending or revoking financial licenses.
The presence of a company on Finauthority does not mean that the company is approved, recommended, endorsed or guaranteed by Finauthority. Likewise, a claimed or verified company profile does not constitute regulatory approval or a recommendation to use that company.

5. No Financial, Investment, Legal or Tax Advice

Content published on Finauthority is provided for general informational and research purposes only. Nothing on the Platform constitutes personalized:
  • investment advice;
  • financial advice;
  • legal advice;
  • tax advice;
  • trading advice;
  • credit advice; or
  • a recommendation to purchase, sell, hold or use any financial product or service.
Users remain responsible for their own financial decisions. Before depositing funds, investing, transferring money or entering into a financial relationship with any company listed on Finauthority, users should independently verify relevant information, including regulatory status, directly with the appropriate official regulator or supervisory authority. Where necessary, users should seek advice from appropriately qualified professionals.

6. User Accounts

Certain Platform features may require an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
  • provide accurate and current information;
  • maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • keep your account information reasonably up to date;
  • use only accounts you are authorized to control;
  • notify us if you become aware of unauthorized access; and
  • accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account, to the extent permitted by law.
You may not impersonate another person, company, financial institution, regulator or public authority. You may not create accounts using false identities or misleading business information. We may require reasonable verification before granting access to sensitive Platform features.

7. Company Profiles

Finauthority may create company profiles using information obtained from publicly available sources, regulatory databases, corporate registries, company websites, official documents, user submissions and other sources we consider relevant. A company does not need to request or approve the creation of a profile before factual information about that company may be included on the Platform, subject to applicable law. Company profiles may contain both:
  • Company-provided information, submitted by a representative of the business; and
  • Finauthority research, independently collected, analyzed or verified by our team.
We may visually distinguish between these categories of information.

8. Claiming a Company Profile

An authorized representative may request to claim an existing company profile. Finauthority may require verification that the applicant is legitimately connected to the company. Verification methods may include, where appropriate:
  • confirmation through an official company email domain;
  • corporate documents;
  • information appearing in official registries;
  • authorization from company management;
  • identification of the representative;
  • verification of the company’s website or domain; or
  • other reasonable evidence.
Successfully claiming a profile means only that Finauthority has accepted that the user has sufficient authority to manage permitted portions of that company profile. Claiming a profile does not mean that Finauthority has verified or endorsed the company’s regulatory status, financial condition, business practices, products or services. A claimed profile must never be represented as approval or certification by Finauthority.

9. Information Submitted by Companies

Company representatives may be permitted to submit or update information such as:
company descriptions;
  • official contact details;
  • websites;
  • locations;
  • services;
  • management information;
  • regulatory claims;
  • license numbers;
  • corporate documents;
  • responses to reviews;
  • explanatory statements; and
  • other relevant business information.
By submitting information, you represent that it is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. Finauthority may independently verify submitted information before displaying it as verified. We may label information as, for example:
  • Provided by the Company
  • Verified by Finauthority
  • Verification Pending
  • Not Independently Verified
Finauthority is not required to accept a company’s description of its regulatory status merely because that description was submitted by an authorized company representative.

10. Independent Regulatory Assessment

One of Finauthority’s core functions is the independent assessment and presentation of regulatory information. Our researchers may examine sources such as:
  • official regulator registers;
  • government databases;
  • license records;
  • corporate registries;
  • regulatory warnings;
  • enforcement actions;
  • official company disclosures;
  • website legal documentation;
  • terms and conditions;
  • client agreements;
  • historical records;
  • archived information; and
  • other sources relevant to the assessment.
Finauthority may use classifications such as “Regulated”, “Licensed”, “Registered”, “Unregulated”, “License Not Verified”, “Regulatory Warning” or similar terminology. The meaning of these classifications is determined by our published Research and Rating Methodology. A regulatory classification represents Finauthority’s assessment based on information reasonably available at the time of review. It should not be interpreted as a guarantee regarding a company’s legality, solvency, safety, future conduct or suitability for any user. Regulatory information may change. Users should therefore verify important information directly through the relevant official authority.

11. Independence of Finauthority Assessments

Company representatives may provide information, documents, explanations and corrections. However, they may not purchase or otherwise obtain:
  • a more favorable regulatory classification;
  • removal of a legitimate regulatory warning;
  • suppression of substantiated user criticism;
  • alteration of an independent editorial conclusion;
  • a favorable rating presented as independent; or
  • preferential treatment in a factual verification process.
Where Finauthority offers advertising, sponsored placement, premium company tools or other commercial services, such commercial relationships shall be separated from independent regulatory and editorial assessments. Paid participation does not constitute endorsement by Finauthority.

12. User Reviews

Finauthority may allow users to share reviews and experiences relating to companies listed on the Platform. A review should reflect a genuine experience or a legitimate factual basis. By submitting a review, you confirm that:
  • the review reflects your genuine experience or information you are entitled to provide;
  • you are not knowingly providing false or fabricated information;
  • you are not impersonating another person;
  • you are not submitting the review as part of an undisclosed paid or coordinated campaign;
  • your review does not contain content prohibited by these Terms; and
  • you understand that Finauthority may request additional information when necessary to assess authenticity.
Finauthority does not automatically treat every allegation contained in a user review as an established fact.

13. Evidence Supporting Reviews

Because reviews concerning financial services may contain serious allegations, Finauthority may request supporting evidence. Depending on the circumstances, evidence may include:
  • correspondence with a company;
  • transaction records;
  • deposit or withdrawal records;
  • account notifications;
  • screenshots;
  • contractual documents;
  • payment confirmations;
  • complaint correspondence;
  • regulatory correspondence; or
  • other relevant materials.
Submitting evidence does not automatically mean that a review will be published or labeled as verified. Finauthority may evaluate whether evidence reasonably supports the material claims made in the review. Where appropriate, we may use labels such as: User Review Identity Verified Evidence Submitted Evidence Reviewed Company Response Review Under Investigation Users should remove unnecessary sensitive personal data from documents before submitting evidence wherever reasonably possible. Information contained in supporting evidence will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Fake, Manipulated or Coordinated Reviews

Finauthority does not permit deliberate manipulation of reviews or ratings. Prohibited activities include:
  • fabricated customer experiences;
  • reviews written by persons who never had the claimed experience;
  • purchasing positive or negative reviews;
  • offering compensation in exchange for a predetermined review;
  • coordinated review attacks;
  • mass submissions intended to manipulate a company’s rating;
  • review submissions from multiple accounts controlled by the same person;
  • employees reviewing their own company without disclosure;
  • competitors submitting deceptive reviews;
  • artificial engagement or automated reviews; and
  • attempts to intimidate users into removing legitimate reviews.
We may investigate suspicious activity and restrict, label or remove content where reasonably justified.

15. Company Responses and Right of Reply

Companies may be provided with mechanisms to respond to reviews, research findings or other information relating to them. Company responses must comply with the same standards applicable to other Platform content. Companies may challenge information they believe is inaccurate and submit evidence supporting a correction. A request for correction will be evaluated on its merits. Finauthority will not remove accurate or legitimately expressed information merely because it is unfavorable to a company. Likewise, Finauthority should correct materially inaccurate information when reliable evidence demonstrates that a correction is justified. Detailed procedures may be set out in our Corrections, Complaints and Right of Reply Policy.

16. User-Generated Content

“User-Generated Content” includes reviews, comments, company descriptions, responses, documents, images and other information submitted by users or company representatives. You retain ownership of intellectual property rights you lawfully hold in your User-Generated Content. By submitting content for publication on Finauthority, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, technically adapt and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and provide the Platform. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Finauthority. You confirm that you have the rights necessary to submit the content and grant this license.

17. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:
  • is knowingly false or deceptive;
  • impersonates another individual or organization;
  • is unlawful;
  • infringes intellectual property rights;
  • contains unlawful threats or harassment;
  • unlawfully discloses private or confidential information;
  • contains unnecessary personal financial information about another individual;
  • promotes fraud or financial crime;
  • contains malware or malicious code;
  • constitutes spam;
  • artificially manipulates reviews or ratings;
  • promotes illegal financial services;
  • is submitted through automated means without authorization; or
  • otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law.
Criticism, negative reviews and unfavorable opinions are not prohibited merely because a company disagrees with them.

18. Content Moderation

Finauthority may moderate content to protect the reliability, legality and integrity of the Platform. Moderation measures may include:
  • requesting clarification;
  • requesting evidence;
  • limiting visibility;
  • adding contextual labels;
  • temporarily withholding publication;
  • removing content;
  • restricting Platform features;
  • suspending accounts; or
  • terminating accounts in appropriate cases.
Moderation decisions should be based on relevant facts and applied in a reasonable, objective and proportionate manner. Where required by applicable law, Finauthority may provide users with information concerning significant moderation decisions and available means of redress. Further details may be provided in our Content Moderation and Notice-and-Action Policy.

19. Reporting Illegal or Inaccurate Content

Users, companies and other affected parties may report content they believe to be:
  • illegal;
  • materially inaccurate;
  • fraudulent;
  • defamatory;
  • impersonating another party;
  • infringing intellectual property rights;
  • violating privacy rights; or
  • otherwise contrary to these Terms.
Reports should identify the specific content and explain the basis for the complaint. Where possible, supporting documentation should be provided. Finauthority will assess notices in accordance with applicable law and our published policies. Submitting a complaint does not automatically require removal of the disputed content.

20. Editorial Content

Finauthority may publish editorial articles, reviews, analyses, guides, warnings, comparisons and research. Such materials may contain professional judgments based on facts and sources available at the time of publication. Editorial conclusions may differ from statements made by companies or users. Where a material factual error is identified, Finauthority may correct or update the content. Our editorial processes are further described in our Editorial Standards and Independence Policy and Research and Rating Methodology.

21. Ratings and Scores

Finauthority may display ratings, scores, risk indicators or other evaluation tools. Such evaluations may be based on different components, including:
  • regulatory information;
  • transparency;
  • user feedback;
  • documented complaints;
  • company information;
  • available public records;
  • editorial research; or
  • other factors described in our methodology.
Ratings are informational assessments and should not be interpreted as guarantees, financial recommendations or predictions of future performance. A high rating does not eliminate financial risk. A low rating does not, by itself, establish unlawful conduct.

22. Official Warnings and Public Records

Finauthority may reproduce, summarize, reference or link to warnings, notices or enforcement information published by regulators, courts, government agencies or other authoritative sources. Where reasonably possible, we seek to identify the original source. Official notices may subsequently be amended, withdrawn, superseded or otherwise changed. Users should consult the issuing authority for the most current official information.

23. Third-Party Websites and Services

Finauthority may contain links to third-party websites, including:
  • company websites;
  • regulatory registers;
  • government websites;
  • corporate registries;
  • news sources;
  • payment providers;
  • social networks; and
  • other external services.
These websites are operated independently from Finauthority. Unless expressly stated otherwise, a link does not constitute endorsement. Finauthority is not responsible for third-party websites, their availability, security, accuracy, products, services or privacy practices. Users access third-party resources at their own discretion.

24. Advertising, Sponsored Content and Commercial Relationships

Finauthority may offer advertising, sponsored placements, premium visibility, affiliate relationships or other commercial services. Where applicable, commercial content will be identified in a manner intended to distinguish it from independent editorial research. Commercial relationships must not determine:
  • regulatory classifications;
  • factual verification;
  • treatment of official warnings;
  • independent editorial conclusions; or
  • the outcome of legitimate correction procedures.
Additional information is provided in our Advertising, Affiliate and Conflict of Interest Disclosure.

25. Paid Services

Certain features may in the future be offered for a fee. Where paid services are available, the applicable price, billing terms, renewal conditions and relevant cancellation rights will be disclosed before purchase. Additional contractual conditions may apply to particular paid business services. Where mandatory consumer rights apply, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits those rights.

26. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Finauthority name, original website design, databases, research structure, original articles, original graphics, ratings methodology and other content created by Finauthority are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use publicly accessible Platform content for personal, legitimate informational purposes. You may not, without authorization:
  • systematically copy the Finauthority database;
  • scrape substantial portions of the Platform in violation of applicable law or technical restrictions;
  • reproduce substantial original editorial content;
  • create misleading copies of Finauthority profiles;
  • use Finauthority branding to imply affiliation or endorsement;
  • sell or redistribute our proprietary data as your own; or
  • circumvent technical protections intended to protect the Platform.
Use of third-party trademarks and logos on Finauthority is generally for identification, reference and informational purposes and does not imply affiliation or endorsement. Further details may be provided in our Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy.

27. Automated Access and Scraping

Automated access to the Platform may be restricted where it:
  • interferes with Platform performance;
  • bypasses access controls;
  • collects personal data unlawfully;
  • copies substantial portions of proprietary databases;
  • attempts to manipulate rankings or ratings;
  • creates security risks; or
  • otherwise violates applicable law or these Terms.
Search engines and legitimate indexing services may access publicly available content subject to our technical instructions and applicable standards.

28. Privacy and Personal Data

Finauthority processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. The Privacy Policy explains, among other matters:
  • what personal data we collect;
  • why we process it;
  • applicable legal bases;
  • how long data may be retained;
  • when information may be shared;
  • international data transfers;
  • user rights; and
  • how privacy requests may be submitted.
Our Cookie Policy separately describes the use of cookies and similar technologies.

29. Security

We use reasonable organizational and technical measures intended to protect the Platform and information processed through it. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us promptly if they reasonably believe an account has been compromised. You may not attempt to:
  • gain unauthorized access to the Platform;
  • test vulnerabilities without authorization;
  • disrupt Platform services;
  • introduce malicious code;
  • access another user’s account; or
  • interfere with security mechanisms.
Security vulnerabilities should be reported responsibly in accordance with our applicable security reporting procedure.

30. Platform Availability

We aim to maintain the availability and accuracy of Finauthority but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily restrict or modify parts of the Platform for:
  • maintenance;
  • security;
  • legal compliance;
  • technical improvements;
  • protection against abuse; or
  • development of new services.
We may add, modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

31. Accuracy and Timeliness of Information

Finauthority makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate and useful information. However, financial companies, regulatory permissions, corporate structures, websites, ownership information, products, warnings and laws can change rapidly. Accordingly, we do not guarantee that every item of information will always be complete, current or error-free. Where profiles display dates such as “Last Reviewed” or “Last Regulatory Check”, those dates indicate when particular information was assessed and do not guarantee that no subsequent change has occurred. Users should independently verify information that is material to a financial decision.

32. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as available” basis. Finauthority does not guarantee that:
  • every company profile is complete;
  • every regulatory record remains unchanged;
  • every user review is factually correct in every respect;
  • every company will respond to complaints;
  • use of a listed financial company will be safe or profitable;
  • losses can be prevented;
  • funds can be recovered; or
  • the Platform will operate without interruption or technical error.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

33. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law. Subject to mandatory law, Finauthority will not be responsible for losses arising solely from a user’s decision to invest, trade, deposit, transfer funds or enter into a contractual relationship with a third-party company based on information obtained from the Platform. Finauthority does not control companies listed on the Platform and is not a party to contracts between users and those companies. Users remain responsible for conducting appropriate due diligence and seeking professional advice when necessary. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, personal injury caused by negligence where applicable, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

34. Responsibility for Your Content

You are responsible for content that you submit to Finauthority. If you knowingly submit unlawful material, fabricated evidence, content belonging to another person without authorization or other prohibited material, you may be responsible for resulting harm in accordance with applicable law. For users acting in the course of business, you agree, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to compensate Finauthority for direct losses resulting from your deliberate or materially negligent violation of these Terms or infringement of third-party rights. This provision does not reduce any mandatory protections available to consumers.

35. Account Restriction or Termination

Finauthority may restrict or terminate an account where reasonably justified, including where:
  • these Terms are repeatedly or seriously violated;
  • an account is used fraudulently;
  • a user impersonates another person or company;
  • review manipulation is identified;
  • security is threatened;
  • unlawful content is repeatedly submitted;
  • required verification is deliberately falsified; or
  • restriction is necessary to comply with law.
Where appropriate and legally required, decisions will take account of the circumstances, severity, frequency and impact of the conduct. Users may be provided with an opportunity to challenge certain decisions in accordance with applicable law and our Platform policies.

36. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict or exclude mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable Czech or European Union law. Where a user qualifies as a consumer and mandatory law in their country of residence provides protections that cannot legally be excluded by contract, those protections remain applicable. This principle applies notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms.

37. Complaints

Complaints concerning Finauthority may be submitted to: kancelar@finauthority.org Please include sufficient information for us to identify the issue and assess the complaint. Where the matter concerns a specific profile, review or publication, please include the relevant URL. We aim to evaluate legitimate complaints fairly and based on available evidence. Procedures relating specifically to corrections, content disputes and rights of reply may be governed by our Corrections, Complaints and Right of Reply Policy.

38. Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumers

Where applicable under Czech or European Union consumer law, eligible consumers may have access to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for disputes that cannot be resolved directly with Finauthority. For consumer disputes falling within its competence, the relevant Czech alternative dispute resolution body may include the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce – ČOI) or another competent body depending on the nature of the dispute. Before initiating an alternative dispute resolution procedure, consumers should first attempt to resolve the matter directly with Finauthority. Nothing in this section restricts rights available under mandatory consumer law.

39. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, together with applicable European Union law. However, if you use Finauthority as a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law that would otherwise be applicable.

40. Jurisdiction

Subject to mandatory consumer protection rules, disputes concerning these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Czech Republic. Consumers may retain the right to bring or defend proceedings before courts available to them under mandatory national or European Union law. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a jurisdictional protection that cannot lawfully be waived.

41. International Users

Finauthority may be accessed from countries around the world. We do not represent that every feature or item of content is appropriate or legally available in every jurisdiction. Users are responsible for complying with laws applicable to their own use of the Platform. Where local mandatory laws conflict with a provision of these Terms, the mandatory legal requirement will prevail to the extent required.

42. Changes to These Terms

Finauthority may update these Terms to reflect:
  • changes to the Platform;
  • new features;
  • changes in business practices;
  • legal or regulatory developments;
  • security requirements; or
  • improvements to our policies.
The current version will always display a “Last Updated” date. Where a change materially affects registered users’ rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice where required by applicable law. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance where legally permissible. Where affirmative consent is required by law, we will request it separately.

43. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue to apply.

44. No Waiver

If Finauthority does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we permanently waive the right to enforce it.

45. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the policies expressly incorporated or referred to within them, constitute the general terms governing use of Finauthority. Additional terms may apply to specific paid services, promotional programs or business products where clearly disclosed.

46. Language

The primary version of these Terms is the English-language version. Translations may be provided for convenience. Where permitted by applicable law, if a translation differs materially from the English version, the English version will be used to determine the intended meaning, without limiting mandatory rights available under local law.
