Frgmnt (frgmnt.fi) presents automated stablecoin investing as a simple way to earn yield. For anyone considering depositing crypto, the important questions concern accountability, control of the contracts and access to funds when conditions deteriorate. This Frgmnt review examines the gap between reassuring marketing and the checks a depositor still needs to make.
Finauthority Risk Alert: FinAuthority’s specialist team reports that it has assessed frgmnt.fi as fraudulent and advises readers against depositing funds. This is FinAuthority’s assessment, based on its investigation; it is not presented here as a court judgment or a regulator-issued finding. The public-source findings below should be assessed separately from evidence retained by the team.
Frgmnt markets fUSD as a dollar-pegged token that routes capital into stablecoin yield strategies, initially on Base. Its homepage advertises automated allocation, diversification and liquidity. At review, it displayed 15.80% APR, with a footnote identifying that figure as a maximum reached on 17 April 2026. That historical maximum should not be read as the current return or a guaranteed rate. Source: Frgmnt homepage.
The Frgmnt terms of service, labelled revised on 24 March 2025, identify Association de Développement de la DAO Frgmnt as the contractual counterparty. Its stated SIREN appears as XXX XXX XXX. A reader cannot use that placeholder to verify the named association in an official register.
The Frgmnt Legal Notice supplied for this review, labelled last revised on 31 October 2025, identifies Granit Finance as the website publisher. It declares SIREN 932318744, VAT number FR44932318744, a registered office at 60 rue Bernard Giraudeau, 34080 Montpellier, France, and the contact email aurelien@frgmnt.fi. These are disclosures made by the project, not registry records independently authenticated in this review. The privacy policy also identifies Granit Finance.
The placeholder concerns the association identified in the terms; it does not mean that Granit Finance has omitted its own SIREN. The documents identify different entities for different roles. That distinction needs an accessible explanation: who publishes the website, who provides the protocol interface, and which entity is accountable for which activity? The association’s missing identifier is a transparency defect, but it does not independently prove fraud. A corporate registration or VAT number, even if authenticated, would not by itself establish authorization for every financial service offered.
The supplied Legal Notice states that website information has no contractual value and is provided for informational purposes. It also says the information should not be interpreted as a public offer, solicitation or investment advice. Readers should therefore establish which specific terms govern any deposit, token acquisition or redemption, rather than treating homepage assurances as contractual guarantees.
The document reserves the ability to change website content without prior notice and limits responsibility for specified access problems, external links and elements beyond the publisher’s control. It also qualifies the completeness and integrity of website information. These provisions concern the website and stated circumstances; they should not be paraphrased as a blanket exemption from liability for all protocol losses. Their enforceability was not assessed in this review.
For a prospective user, the gap to examine is practical: what enforceable commitments support the marketing, what happens when the interface is unavailable, and where can the user find the governing transaction terms? The Legal Notice supplies publisher details but does not itself demonstrate capital protection, financial authorization or guaranteed redemption. Its disclaimers are not, by themselves, evidence of fraud.
A CertiK Frgmnt audit listing exists. At review, it displayed 93 findings: 88 resolved and five acknowledged. The critical finding and 20 major findings were marked resolved. Two centralization findings remained acknowledged, under upgrade and privilege categories. It would be inaccurate to describe the resolved findings as current unfixed vulnerabilities.
The listing also stated that the team was not verified by CertiK. This describes that provider’s verification status; it does not establish that the people involved have no identifiable history.
The practical question is whether the deployed contracts match the reviewed code and what powers administrators retain. An audit is useful evidence about a defined technical scope. It does not authenticate an entire business, guarantee liquidity, insure a deposit or establish that every subsequent upgrade is safe.
The homepage describes Frgmnt as fully decentralized and says users retain control through their wallets. Those statements should be read alongside the acknowledged centralization findings. The combination raises questions about administrator permissions; it does not, on its own, demonstrate that an exploit or theft has occurred.
Keeping a wallet’s private keys is different from retaining unrestricted access to assets deposited into a contract. Before accepting the marketing, readers need a clear account of upgrade powers, privileged roles, withdrawal restrictions and the controls governing those powers. A wallet connection cannot answer these questions.
According to information supplied by FinAuthority’s specialist team, frgmnt.fi was acquired on 22 September 2023, displayed a coming-soon page for approximately two years and launched its full website in December 2025. These dates are attributed to the team: this review has not independently confirmed them through registry records and archived snapshots. The supplied Legal Notice bears a revision date of 31 October 2025, before the reported full-site launch. A date printed on a document does not establish when that document first became publicly accessible, so it neither confirms nor disproves the reported launch date.
Domain registration, acquisition by a new owner, incorporation, development and public launch are separate events. An old domain does not establish an equally long operating record. Equally, a later website launch does not exclude earlier development. Any allegation that Frgmnt misstates its history should identify the exact claim and compare it with dated evidence. No specific historical statement was established as false in this public-source review.
The Frgmnt homepage links to coverage about institutional access. One linked item on The Block is explicitly categorized as a press release. That label matters: a promotional announcement should not be presented as an independent investigation of the project’s solvency or conduct.
FinAuthority reports that recent favorable articles are paid promotion. This review has not independently established payment arrangements for every article, so it does not label all favorable coverage as purchased.
There is also evidence that should not be omitted: Anchorage Digital’s supported-assets directory lists Frgmnt USD on Base and Staked Frgmnt USD on Base. Asset support is a verifiable fact, but its scope should not be expanded into an endorsement of every Frgmnt claim or a promise to reimburse protocol users.
Automation removes manual decisions from the user’s routine; it does not remove exposure to the decisions made by the system. For a protocol allocating capital across strategies, readers should examine the following risk channels:
These are risks to investigate, rather than claims that each event has already occurred at Frgmnt. The terms themselves discuss technical and crypto-asset risks and seek to limit responsibility. Readers should understand those provisions before treating a token balance as equivalent to protected savings.
FinAuthority Warnings advises against depositing with frgmnt.fi and reports that its specialist team has classified the project as fraudulent. The underlying investigation file was not supplied for this public-source review, so the fraud classification remains explicitly attributed to FinAuthority.
The independently observable concerns are narrower but material: incomplete identification in the terms, unresolved questions about privileged control, and marketing that requires careful qualification. The audit and Anchorage asset listings also exist and must be acknowledged. Neither cancels the concerns; neither proves the reported fraud allegation.
Readers searching for a Frgmnt review, frgmnt.fi warning or information about Frgmnt risks should focus on evidence that can be checked: legal identities, deployed contracts, administrator permissions and redemption conditions. Promotional reach and historical yield figures cannot substitute for those checks.
Preserve transaction hashes, wallet addresses, screenshots and correspondence. If you suspect deception, report the facts to the relevant authorities and any exchange involved in the transfer. Never disclose a seed phrase or private key. Treat unsolicited recovery offers and requests for advance payments with caution; do not assume that paying another party will recover an earlier loss.
Editorial note: reviewed on 23 October 2026. This profile incorporates the supplied Frgmnt Legal Notice, labelled revised on 31 October 2025, and distinguishes project statements, third-party records and findings reported by FinAuthority. It does not claim that withdrawal failures, theft or enforcement action were independently established. Material documentary evidence and a substantive response from the project should be assessed for future updates.

October 5, 2026Honestly feel like I’ve been tricked. All those promises sounded great until it was my money on the line.

September 27, 2026An audit alone does not reassure me. The questions about privileged control make Frgmnt too risky for my preferences.

September 22, 2026Can’t get my money out and I’m getting nowhere. This is so frustrating.

September 17, 2026I find the distinction between Granit Finance and the association mentioned in the terms confusing. Frgmnt should explain who is responsible for each service.

September 12, 2026Frgmnt’s marketing does not give me enough clarity about the risks involved. I would not feel comfortable depositing funds into frgmnt.fi.
